Our Commitment to Accessibility
LaNae Fine Jewelry strives to ensure that our services are accessible to people of all abilities. We have invested significant resources to make our website easier to use, and we extend that same care to every guest who visits our boutique in the Shops at Solaris in the heart of Vail Village.
This is more than a compliance exercise. It is a reflection of who we are. Every person has the right to experience the joy of discovering a beautiful piece with grace and ease, whether they are shopping online, browsing in person, or selecting the perfect gift for someone they love.
Standards & Conformance
We measure our work against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Our target conformance level is Level AA.
We also design our website and operations to align with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, and, where applicable, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
To support these efforts, we maintain an accessibility widget on every page that allows visitors to personalize their experience — including contrast, text size, spacing, cursor size, and motion preferences. You can open it at any time from the icon in the corner of the page.
Accessibility Features of Our Website
The following features are built into the foundation of our site:
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements — menus, links, buttons, form fields, carousels — are reachable using the Tab key.
- Skip links allow keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation and move directly to the main content.
Screen Reader Compatibility
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) help screen readers understand the page structure.
- ARIA labels and roles are applied to interactive widgets, dialogs, and complex components.
- Form fields include visible labels and programmatic associations.
Visible Focus, Contrast & Text
- Clear focus indicators appear on every focusable element.
- Text and meaningful UI elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Text can be resized up to 200 percent in your browser without loss of content or function.
Media & Motion
- Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such.
- Where we publish video or audio content, we provide captions and, where practical, transcripts.
- Animations honor the operating system "reduce motion" preference.
Accessibility in Our Vail Boutique
Our boutique is located in the Shops at Solaris in Vail Village. We are committed to making your visit comfortable and unhurried.
- Wheelchair access. Our entrance and selling floor are designed for wheelchair access, with clear pathways between cases.
- Accessible restrooms. Accessible restrooms are available within the Shops at Solaris complex.
- Service animals. Trained service animals are warmly welcomed throughout the boutique.
- Accessible parking. Accessible parking is available in the Solaris parking structure with direct elevator access to our level.
- Personal assistance. Our team is happy to bring pieces to a comfortable seat, describe selections in detail, or arrange a private appointment. Simply call ahead or ask any associate.
- Virtual consultations. If visiting in person is not possible, we are pleased to offer phone, video, and email appointments.
Assistive Technologies We Support
Our website is designed to work with a broad range of assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), and TalkBack (Android).
- Voice recognition software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking and built-in voice control on macOS, iOS, and Windows.
- Keyboard-only navigation and switch input devices.
- Browser zoom up to 200 percent and operating-system level magnifiers.
Ongoing Efforts & Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is never finished. We continually scan our website, repair issues we find, and review new pages and features before publishing them. This includes:
- Regular automated and manual accessibility audits.
- Periodic testing with assistive technology users.
- Ongoing training for our team on inclusive service and accessible content authoring.
- Reviewing every guest comment that mentions an accessibility barrier.
Known Limitations & Areas Under Improvement
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet meet the strictest accessibility standards. This can occur when a piece is photographed by an outside studio, when we publish content from a partner designer, or when a suitable technological solution has not yet been identified.
If you encounter a barrier — an image without a description, a control that does not announce itself, anything at all — please tell us. We treat every report as a priority and will work to resolve it promptly.
Third-Party Content
Some elements of our site rely on third-party services — payment processors, shipping calculators, embedded social feeds, and partner designer assets. While we choose partners thoughtfully, the accessibility of their components is governed by their own programs and may differ from our own.
If a third-party element prevents you from completing a task, please reach out and we will assist you directly while we work with the provider to address the issue.
Alternative Formats & Assistance Requests
If you would prefer product information, receipts, care instructions, or other documentation in an alternative format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — please contact us. We are happy to prepare materials in the way that works best for you.
If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on our website, widget, or services, or if you would like assistance shopping in our boutique, please contact us during normal business hours. A member of our team will personally assist you.
Compatibility Statement
Our website is designed for the latest two versions of the major desktop and mobile browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We test with current releases of JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Older browsers and unsupported assistive technologies may produce a degraded experience. If you are using one of these and run into difficulty, please contact us — we will be glad to help directly.
Feedback & Contact
Your feedback helps us do better. If you wish to report an accessibility barrier, ask a question, or simply request a hand with anything on our site, please get in touch using any of the methods opposite. We aim to respond within two business days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your concern to the owner of LaNae Fine Jewelry using the same contact details, marking your message "Accessibility Escalation." We will personally review and respond.
